Founder’s Statement

by Parker MacIver Hinnenkamp

I founded Ars Musica not as a passing project, but as a lasting framework—one that could hold the weight of music, ministry, and meaning. It grew from a conviction I’ve carried for years: that sacred music deserves more than inspiration alone. It needs infrastructure. It needs discipline. It needs a home.

Ars Musica is that home. It’s a place where students are taught with care and rigor. Where churches find support for their worship life. Where musicians and collaborators can work within a structure that protects their time, honors their craft, and allows them to create with integrity.

This work is personal to me. I’ve seen what happens when beautiful ideas fall apart under disorganization, and I’ve also seen what’s possible when beauty is given roots—when art is supported, not simply imagined. My career has moved between the sacred and the strategic: in liturgical leadership, yes, but also in finance, in public administration, and in the quiet work of helping institutions last. Ars Musica is where all those threads come together.

This is not a brand built for scale or spectacle. It is built for endurance, excellence, and service. I want it to support others—students, churches, and communities—in doing their best work, musically and spiritually, without burning out or losing clarity along the way.

If Ars Musica has one aim, it is this: to be a faithful steward of beauty. And in doing so, to help others become faithful stewards of their own.
